Step 1: First, you need to log in to your WordPress dashboard.

Step 5: Click on the Install button

Step 6: Now Activate this theme.

Also before installing the theme, if you want that your theme should have a particular functionality/feature so you can select Feature Filter which is optional.

2. Install the WordPress theme from the *.zip file

So if you have a theme in zip file format so how you can install that theme in your WordPress?

Let’s download one WordPress Good looking Blog Theme from the WordPress theme website.

Click on Download.

After downloading the theme in zip format go to your Dashboard portal.

Go to Appearance ->  Themes -> Add New

Click on Upload Theme

Click on Choose File and select the downloaded theme’s zip file from your local download path like “C:\Users\xyz\Downloads.”

You have uploaded the theme’s *.Zip file. Click on Install Now button.

WordPress will show you a message once your theme has been installed successfully.

• Before going to activate the theme, you can preview the theme.
• Now, you have installed a WordPress theme on your  WordPress website. You can Activate your theme by clicking the “Activate” button.
